What Is the Verbal Matrix®

Before your learner can be expected to identify an object by verbally saying its name, they should be able to identify it by pointing, touching, tapping, giving, or selecting. FFC Digital Tools

Function, feature, and class (FFC) is a way to teach vocabulary and meaning. Through FFC, the learner understands that an item is more than a name. FFC skills are evaluated in both the VB-MAPP^® and ABLLS-R^® assessments. The aba|tools Rise program offers single exemplars, and the Rime program offers multiple exemplars. Implement changes to learner programs immediately without waiting for materials to be sourced, laminated, organized, and delivered.

Skills Assessments

Skill Assessments are the latest tool to be added to aba|tools. With Skill Assessments you will be able to quickly and easily assess your Learner on both ABLLS-R^® and VB-MAPP^® milestones that utilize images. Navigate each Skill by choosing the “node” you want to test and revisit those exemplars that require further testing. With more than 300 Skills and associated printable Skill Tracking and Documentation sheets for paid aba|tools subscribers, you will be able to tackle some of the most difficult areas of these assessments to organize and maintain with physical materials, have a standard set of images and SD’s to use across your Learners for more accurate research, and at the same time, be able to duplicate and edit existing skills as well as create new Skill Assessments to you and your Learner’s preference. In many cases, we created the Skill Assessments to go beyond the requirements of both the ABLLS-R^® and VB-MAPP^® so your Learner has a more robust experience and more opportunity to improve their verbal behavior.
